0209 Nurturing Inspiration

2/9/2018

DianeHB: Can I get an update on my agreements around staring a business? Back in September, you had mentioned that collaboration was crucial to this direction, and that it would take some time for agreements to be made and sequences and vectors to come together. How are we doing on that?

Since the beginning of the year I have been taking more steps toward developing skills and starting projects in the direction I want to take of creative projects with other people — doing a podcast with Royce, practicing public speaking, and starting a new website for topics I want to write/speak about. I’m not expecting any of these to turn into a career by themselves, but I figured they all contribute to where I’d like to go.

MEntity: In regard to your business vision: You are laying out the groundwork and infrastructure and nothing has diminished from the original patterns we assessed. It continues to be a matter of timing, patience, persistence, and planning. What you are doing is important, but keep in mind that there is the inspirational element that must be nurtured alongside the action and expressive.

MEntity: Nurturing inspiration means that action and expression must continue to mean something to you.

MEntity: In your case, it may mean that you "change things up" if you find yourself in too much routine. In this trajectory toward collaboration, it will be helpful for you to practice this introduction of variables and change rather than complete replacement and restart.

DianeHB: Yes -- that is particularly true of the podcasts and the website project, and for public speaking I try to do it on topics I'm excited about, otherwise I wouldn't want to do it.

DianeHB: Good suggestion about practicing variables and change. I do have a habit of "replace and restart".

DianeHB: These projects have helped me notice how much I'm used to forcing myself to stay on a trajectory when my interest diminishes, and how small changes can sometimes bring back the enthusiasm.

MEntity: Where do you feel your inspiration levels are, in general? Do you feel they are fragile or strong? Inspiration will rise and diminish, but it will always cycle back to the receptive.

DianeHB: This year they have been fairly strong. They still ebb and flow, but the baseline is higher than it was.

MEntity: That is because you are learning how to create it, and not to wait for it or expect it.

DianeHB: I'm still not certain how I'm creating it though.

MEntity: Creating Inspiration is a mix of being receptive, perceptive, and introspective, along with your capacity and willingness to surprise yourself.

MEntity: Receptive means that you are actively nurturing gratitude, appreciation, and willingness.

MEntity: Perceptive means that you practice bypassing logic, reason, and routine to see more than what is obvious or anticipated. It allows you to see beyond the natural and unnatural limitations of time, space, and form.

MEntity: Introspective means you actively check in with yourself in a way that ensures you are participating by choice and not simply by momentum, force, or repetition. It is a practice in self-care.

MEntity: Your capacity and willingness to surprise yourself means allowing room for surprises, mistakes, learning curves, persistence, practice, play, and even perfection.

MEntity: You do all of the above now.

DianeHB: Yes... after a lot of painful resistance I'm learning. LOL
