20140619 Nurturing Visions

MEntity: Hello, Rachel. We are here, now. We can begin.

[Rachel_L]: I have been struggling with my current coursework, partly because the subject material does not come naturally to me, but mostly because I am finding it hard to force myself to study. In the past, I would trudge through difficult work, but now I find myself simply not caring and escaping reality with distractions. I have been conflicted over whether I should switch my area of study, but am hesitant due to not knowing what I would like and what would be good in the current job market. Overall, though, I seem to have a sense of apathy about things. My question is, how can I find a sense of direction and motivation in my life? What areas of study would have the highest probability of aligning with my passions and also providing job opportunities? Are there any work agreements for me in the next couple of years?

MEntity:

The first consideration here is that while moods and passion and interests move in waves and cycles, the obligations of fulfilling a vision do not. These are often out of alignment, not because of anything relevant, but because of these natural cycles.

Imagine the raising of a child, for instance, which may have been a parent's dream and passion. As that child is being raised, it will have its necessary needs and guidance and care, even as the parent may not have the passion, interest, or joy that was once a part of the original vision. This does not change the greater arc of joy and passion that is still very much present, but simply on the other side of a cycle.

Apathy develops when this is not understood. The apathy is a means of defense against resentment for the choices made that require nurturing and care, even as you would rather not give it.

So that is the first consideration.

It may not be about suddenly needing to make a change, but more about enduring the down-cycle that is distracting from your nurturing of your choices. While these are not literal, living beings dependent upon you, it is not amiss to still look at these as children.

[Rachel_L]: Interesting

MEntity:

By doing so, you can better assess if this is truly a matter of not wanting what you created, or if it is merely a matter of allowing room for the cycles of passion that come and go.

If you realize it is truly not what you wanted, then the clarity can come because you can then own this, and not divide yourself between obligation and worry, or obligation and escape. Instead, you can decide if it is necessary to take a leap, or move in a different direction more strategically.

In your case, if you decide your direction is truly not what you want, then a leap will likely be your means of changing direction. Taking too long to change directions would likely bring about too much room for self-doubt and worry.

[Rachel_L]: Very true

MEntity: We are not telling you to take a leap, nor are we guilting you into nurturing your "children." The choice is yours. We only wish to share our perspective on the matter so as to help your choices be made with more consciousness, which is often much better than putting one's head down and hoping for the best.

[Rachel_L]: Yes, thank you. I understand you do not want to create any karma.

MEntity:

So the best way to align your current direction with your depth of passion is to ALLOW room for when you feel no passion. Passion is a fuel. It is not infinite in its movement through the body. It cycles in abundance and depletion and replenishment. You are in a replenishment cycle.

To replenish, you can embrace your distractions, live them loudly and unapologetically. Set yourself back a bit. Play. Do not be responsible. Free yourself for a bit. In many cases, people do this at the expense of themselves, their goals, their relationships, etc., but it can be done without endangering these.

[Rachel_L]: I will consider that.

MEntity:

As for work, you have a wide range of Agreements that are pending for 2015 to 2017.

Depending upon which direction you choose to go, there are accommodations. Unless you abandon or reverse directions drastically, your probabilities for secure income and fulfilling work look to be in the high 70s as far as percentages for fulfillment.

[Rachel_L]: Interesting

MEntity: We know we cannot relieve you of the work that is required for navigation and creation of your life, but knowing that you are "allowed" to have your down cycles can help you to not be owned by them, but to own them.
