Disappearing Object Phenomenon

This material was received in a POF on October 17, 2018.

Janet:
Here is a light-hearted question that people might nevertheless want the answer for.

Someone posted on Facebook today about losing an iPad, searching everywhere possible and giving up on it, only to wake one morning and spot the iPad on the floor a few feet away. This guy mentioned a couple of other stories and then named the Disappearing Object Phenomenon.

I hadn’t heard the name but I researched it, and the stories are all weird and wonderful. Objects disappear and reappear in odd places, often prominently visible in the first place searched for them, but sometimes found in highly unusual spots. A similar glitch, less often reported, is unknown objects appearing with no known source.

A fellow Michael student recently told the story of taking off her shoes while sitting on the bed, her husband watching, and the next morning they could not find one of the shoes anywhere in the house. And they never found it. She bought a replacement pair of shoes, and again one disappeared, although she found that one. She was told that fairies do this and, lacking another explanation, has just asked the fairies to desist.

I myself have a globe-shaped stone made of lapis with some bits of pyrite. I like to hold it in my hand and often take it with me on trips. It regularly disappears. Most recently, I could remember dropping it into my purse to take it on a trip but could not find it for a few months. Because it goes missing so regularly, I didn’t worry too much. And sure enough, the other day I found it -- readily visible -- in the front of a kitchen drawer that I open every day.

Maybe I just don’t remember placing it in the drawer and I know we often don’t truly “see” what is in front of our eyes, but that stone regularly shows up in unexpected places after lengthy absences so I am curious about what’s going on.

Are there glitches in our physical reality that cause the Disappearing Object Phenomenon? Do fairies or other beings play tricks on us in this way?

MEntity
There are legitimate "glitches" that occur fairly often. This does contribute to some objects "disappearing and reappearing," though that is not exactly what happens. There are various explanations for this phenomenon, but it tends to happen most with individuals who are shifting and re-shifting parallels within condensed moments or periods of time. The objects act as a kind of "bookmark" that helps Essence to pull experimental parallels back together, if you will. For those who experience this, the object either marks the more stable reality and when it is phased out of perception "you" are in several experimental or diaphanous threads, or the object marks a single experimental or diaphanous thread and it shifts into focus "there" so that it is easier to pull back into the stable.

These diaphanous threads have no intention of branching off, but play with variables in thoughts and feelings that may contribute to a future branch.

We refer to them as diaphanous because they are not truly separate in the same way that a full parallel branching occurs. They are slightly phase-shifted, out of sync emotionally and intellectually, but not Physically.

Faeries are not involved. Faeries were never tricksters, either. They have never liked that mythology.

Janet: Hmmm. I think I packed my stone — or thought of packing it — when I was on my way to South Carolina in May. I got a new purse there, so that contributed to my confusion about where the stone might be. But with the stone “gone” from about May until just this past week: what was the situation with the stone? Was I in the experimental threads or was the stone? There’s been so much emotional upheaval in the past few months, it’s hard to figure.

MEntity
"This" is the stable or core parallel in your case. The stone bookmarked an experimental phase of "giving up."

It was not pleasant and you finally snapped out of it.

Janet:
OMG. SO appropriate. And yes, I finally snapped out of it, although the last week hasn’t been especially pleasant either.

So when something goes missing, especially when it’s something important like a debit card, is there a way to “find” it? An intention or a shift in thinking or ???

MEntity: No.

Janet: ha

MEntity
You will find it when it returns, if it has legitimately been "glitched."

However, if it is something vital like a credit or debit card that would interfere with your life for it to be missing, it is helpful to state to Essence that such things are off limits as bookmarks.

Essence does not always give the same gravity to objects that the Personality does. A piece of plastic seems ideal as a bookmark.

Janet:
lol

You said, “for those who experience this” — is there a type of person that gets these experiences, or is it just random experimentation of Essence?

MEntity
It is not about a type of person and it is not random, but it does tend to be related to stretches of emotional and intellectual intensity that may require some exploration of variables.

Most do not notice.

There are other explanations for these so-called "glitches," but we can explore those in further exchanges.
