Essence as the Infinite Resource

Michael: Hello, Cong. We are here, now. We can begin.

Cong: Hi Michael, about a year ago, I asked about directions of my job search, conventional path vs something different. I ended up “secured a job in the field of my experience and skill for the time-being”, while trying to “nurture my path into something different". At first, I feel the job satisfied what I need, but 6 months in, I feel I’m already burnt out. I came to realize that I simply don’t enjoy getting requests from others and sometimes don’t want to make effort to document and present results to satisfy others. I come to realize that my satisfaction is very internal oriented: I still have curiosity about finding a pattern or obtain new knowledge, but I seem to be not interested in presenting myself to the world. This generally is true about my personal life too. At the end of the day, I just want to feel happy and content, but I’m not. And it bothers me. Although I’ve told myself many times that this is my last professional job and I want to start working for myself, I am a bit frustrated that I haven’t made too much progress in this front to explore plausible personal venture ideas. I want to know if Michael has any comments or advice on what’s going on, and how to best navigate.

Michael: First, we will ask you what ideas and impulses have you had that could represent a new direction and a path for working on your own personal ventures? And have you followed through on them and acted on them?

Cong:

I have had a few ideas but I'm frustrated about not one of them seem to poke my interest so much that I want to make continuing efforts on them. 

ideas includes personal coaching (someone even commented on I have good psychic ability and should do something about it), setting up some kind of online or offline stores

people also comment on I could teach about my professional skill too

or simply manage my own finance and invest them wisely to make income and explore the world as I wish

in a way I just want to retire from working...although I just barely turned 40

Michael:

If none of these ideas interest you, and you are not having any ideas that do interest you at this time, then you would be in a cycle of PLAY/DISCOVERY. This would be a time to experiment, explore, relax, play, investigate, etc. If the path is not already there, then you must discover it or let it "find you". You must also find a way to embrace your current work as your love, your support for this time of play/discovery. Our channel has found The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron (one of our students, by the way) of great help in this regard.

Cong: what will be the signs if a path is plausible ? sometimes i question if I'm just too complacent to make a change/make a choice

Michael:

You cannot know whether a path is plausible or not until you begin and explore. It is your PASSION and ENTHUSIASM that are your guides to which paths to pursue.

Your complacency is likely fear. Fear of the unknown (stubbornness) and fear of vulnerability (arrogance).

Cong: how do I navigate those fears?

Michael:

CHOICE.

Simply by recognizing these fears and defensive stances, then choosing to set them aside so that you can follow your inspiration, expression, and impulses/actions.

You cannot avoid the unknown, the uncertain. This is a part of life.

You cannot avoid vulnerability. This is also a part of life.

Fear is steering you toward what is safe, comfortable, and familiar, but your essence would have you embrace healthy RISK, dive into the unknown and your vulnerability, so that you can play and create.

It is your choice, of course, but you will not likely be able to avoid your growing frustration and resistance to your expansion.

Pain can either be reason for sympathy (your own or others') or a great motivator to GROW.

Cong: Thanks Michael. I will give them more thoughts... I'm also curious if you have comments about being very inward facing...that I almost feel I'm not that interested in presenting myself to the world...is this just a phase? is this depression related? or is this my life's true satisfaction...? especially considering I just transition to a new soul age.

Michael:

All of the above.

There are aspects to your current experience that can be understood by everything you wrote above. However, we will remind you that you do not have to present yourself. You can simply BE YOURSELF. And you are far more creative than you allow. The choice to let yourself be where you are with all of your thoughts and feelings, frustrations and longings, is healing.

You are where you are. But this is not a conclusion.

Allow yourself the space and time to explore who you have become and what now lights you up. This may take time.

In the meantime, your work is your support, and you can also employ your creativity in this context to do what you can make this work more manageable and enjoyable as you explore your creative options in your free time.

Cong:

do Michael have suggestions on which direction I should explore (industry, job functions, etc) besides the ideas I mentioned above?

or a better question is: what's the unique strength or focus of my creativity? (it's funny that I used focus and creativity in the same sentence!)

Michael:

Your curiosity, fascination, passion, and enthusiasm will highlight the specific paths and best ways of unfolding your creativity. But we can also say that you can look to your role and casting to know what your strengths are:

Cong: Make sense - in a way I'm already doing what I'm good at...but need to be more creative and freely being myself. I'm ok to switch topics now and wonder if Michael has any further comments on the topics above

Michael: We will conclude this topic for now by reminding you that your essence is your infinite resource for ideas, inspiration, passion, compassion, enthusiasm, and creativity. If you feel "stuck" and frustrated, TALK TO ESSENCE. Talk and then LISTEN. By listen, we mean listen literally but also by being watchful and open to SYNCHRONICITY during your days. Your essence is always giving you creative ideas and energies, but you must explore them and experiment with them. You must become more active in your partnership with essence. This is also a part of the play, discovery, and exploration that we mentioned earlier. All of this that we have spoken of is a process of LEARNING TO TRUST YOURSELF.

Cong: The next topic is quite different: I have been focusing on traveling the silk roads for quite a while now: Central and West Asia just keep attracting me back. Once when traveling there, I had the feeling that I was “going back to mother’s womb”. Do you know why I have such an affinity with this region? What do their cultures represent, metaphysically speaking? Do I have a past live that’s Marco Polo alike? Any details you can share? If possible, is there anything traceable in the books that I can read about?

Michael:

You have many past life-times, of course, in these regions, which is a part of the resonance and "draw" to these areas. We think the "metaphysical" resonance may also have to do with underlying Buddhist and Hindu spiritual themes of these locales that are very "close" to your essence.

We are having trouble getting information through our channel in reference to Marco Polo, but we can say "yes" to your question about similarities in lifetimes and themes to this fragment/figure.

Cong: wonder if I still have time to ask for a partial overleaves of a historical figure?

Michael: We have time, yes.
